The solar power system
Taiwan passed the "Greenhouse Gas Reduction and Management Act" in 2015, the future of corporate carbon emissions towards total control. In 2014, the government announced the "Regulations on Setting Energy Conservation Objectives and Execution Plans for Energy Users”, where energy users with a contracted electricity consumption capacity of more than 800 kW should achieve an "average annual savings rate" of 1% or more from 2015 to 2019.
To comply with Tainan City's "Low Carbon City Autonomy Ordinance" and the regulations of the Bureau of Energy, MOEA’s Energy Management Program, as well as to increase the utilization rate of clean energy, the company has planned to install a solar power generation system on the roof of Plant 1, with the installation carried out in two phases. The total installed capacity for both phases is 611.52 KW. In 2022, the remaining available roof space within the plant Will be fully utilized for solar power installation, resulting in a total solar capacity of 1168 KW.

Since 2017, the company has been applying for renewable energy certificates from the National Renewable Energy Certificate Center. In 2022, it obtained 794 renewable energy certificates. In 2022, the total electricity generated by the solar power system was 1,155,389 kilowatt-hours. After conversion, this is estimated to result in a reduction of approximately 594 metric tons of CO2 emissions.
