Human Rights Policy
CMMT complies with the relevant provisions of the Labor Standards Act of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and adheres to the principles of international human rights instruments, such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. We align our requirements with the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct to establish and implement our human rights policy. All CMMT employees, subsidiaries, business partners, suppliers, and contractors are required to comply with this policy, as we strive to create a workplace that supports work–life balance and treats every employee with respect and dignity.
With human rights at the core, we are committed to providing a safe, hygienic, and healthy work environment and to complying with labor and environmental regulations applicable to each site, thereby ensuring reasonable working conditions and labor protections. The company strictly prohibits all forms of discrimination and provides equal employment opportunities and pay, without differential treatment based on nationality, race, color, age, gender (including gender identity), disability, pregnancy, marital status, religion, political affiliation, or union membership.
CMMT strictly prohibits forced labor, child labor, and human trafficking, and adopts a zero-tolerance policy toward bullying and harassment, including sexual harassment, sexual abuse, corporal punishment, psychological or physical coercion, verbal abuse, and threats. At the same time, CMMT respects employees’ rights to privacy and freedom of association, safeguarding their lawful rights to organize, engage in collective bargaining, and hold peaceful assemblies, while continuously fostering a workplace where concerns can be expressed safely. In the event of mass layoffs, we will provide advance notice in accordance with applicable legal requirements to protect employees’ rights and interests.
Regarding compensation and benefits, CMMT ensures that all employees’ working conditions meet local labor regulations and provides wages commensurate with local living standards, along with legally required overtime pay. We have established comprehensive leave policies, including public holidays, annual leave, marriage and bereavement leave, prenatal check-up/maternity leave, paternity leave, and parental leave, to safeguard employees’ rights. Overtime and extended working hours are voluntary, and excessive overtime is avoided. Employees’ working hours must not exceed local legal limits or 60 hours per week, and at least one day of rest is ensured within every seven-day period.
 
Labor Practices Programs
Compensation System
CMMT ensures that employees’ wages comply with all applicable compensation laws and regulations, and evaluates local living wage benchmarks in its operating locations. The Company actively promotes compensation conditions that meet local living wage standards, including costs related to food, clothing, housing, transportation, and education. In addition, the Company regularly reviews the gender pay gap to ensure there are no pay disparities based on gender, with the objective of achieving equal pay for equal work.
 
Working Hours and Overtime Management
CMMT has established a comprehensive working hours monitoring mechanism and regularly generates working hours reports to prevent excessive working hours. Overtime pay is calculated in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and is paid together with monthly salaries.
 
Labor-Management Communication and Relations
CMMT holds quarterly labor-management meetings to discuss working conditions with employees and their representatives, coordinate labor relations, and promote cooperation, maintaining positive engagement through diverse communication channels.
 
Employee Benefits and Social Protection
Employees are entitled to paid annual leave in accordance with applicable laws. The human resources system continuously tracks employees’ leave status and encourages employees to take leave in a timely manner to maintain a healthy work–life balance. In addition to statutory labor insurance and national health insurance, the Company provides additional benefits, including life insurance, accident insurance, and complimentary group insurance.
